Parent and Toddler Group
Our Parent and Toddler group meets every Monday afternoon from 1.30-2.45 pm in the House of Clubs. Pop along to join in with lots of fun activities including water play, paint, cooking and more! There's even snacks for the toddlers and grown ups too! All this for just £1 a family. Mrs Walch and Mrs Midgley look forward to seeing you there.
After our lovely autumn walk last week we have had fun this afternoon using what we had collected (and some extra special things, like 'googly eyes') to make some fantastic pictures. They are SO amazing we are going to display them in the House of Clubs so everyone can see them!
What a wonderful woodland walk we have had this week! Some children stayed in playgroup and some went across to 'big school' to explore the woodland. We collected different types of leaves, sticks and acorns, played a game of grandmothers footsteps and sang the action rhyme '5 little leaves'. All the children joined in and were fabulous at counting! Next week we will be creating autumn pictures with the things we collected today.
We had a playdough extravaganza afternoon today! We made different types of play dough with different smells and textures. At the end of the session the children took the play dough they had made home so they could have more fun!
We were delighted to re-open our Parent and Toddler doors today for the first time this school year. 7 children came and enjoyed getting messy with gloop and the farm animals. There was also lots of threading and counting, experimenting with paints and colours and some hand prints! It was a really busy session. At sing-a-long time it was number songs today and Mrs Walch's favourite was 'Five little ducks'. We look forward to next Monday when we can have some more fun!
