Welcome to KS1 2019-20
Have a look below to see our fantastic learning in Key Stage 1
A battle broke out in our school hall today. The mighty Willaim Duke of Normandy fought against the King of England, Harold of Wessex.
In maths today we were sorting 2D shapes using Venn diagrams. Some shapes fit into two different categories and so they go where the two hoops cross over.
Longer or shorter?
We have been comparing and measuring lengths.
We have been investigating everyday materials. Some objects are made from more than one material. We have been using Venn Diagrams to sort them.
It's party time!
Christmas is nearly here.
We have been having lots of fun celebrating this afternoon.
Congratulations to all of key stage one today. They were magnificent in the Nativity. A special mention goes to the star of our show, the Sleepy Shepherd.
We would like to say a great big thank you to all the parents who came to watch the show.
We have been learning to recite poetry in reading. We found this poem lots of fun. We hope you enjoy our performance.
Look at us!
We look amazing in our Christmas outfits and we are raising money for charity too.
Rehearsals are well under way for our Nativity production next Tuesday morning. We hope you will all come and watch 'The Sleepy Shepherd'.
Prepare to party!
Key stage one have been busy planning and preparing party food and today was the day to try it out.
It was great.
It is OK to be different. We have been celebrating this on odd sock day. Can you work out whose feet these are?
In PE, we have been learning basketball skills.
A great big THANK YOU to all the parents who came in to help us with our learning. We really loved having you in our lessons.
We love reading so much. We share our reading with class 7. We choose a book together and help each other.
Class 2 have been learning all about Sukkah.
If you like things a little bit scary, then you should have joined us at the foundation stage and key stage one Halloween disco!
In science, we have been learning all about our senses. This week we have been using our sense of taste. We tried lots of different foods and then tried to pick the best words to describe the taste.
Take a look at our super maths.
We have been out in the woodland using our senses to help us find out about what is around us. We used our sense of smell and touch, hearing and seeing but we were very careful to avoid our sense of taste. We are going to use all the information we gathered to help us with our writing.
